Diving Safari - TOP North

Diving Safari – TOP North is our most frequent Safari route. It contains the most beautiful dive sites of the northern part of the Red Sea. During the week we will visit famous dive sites, wrecks and reefs. Diving Safari is addressed to advanced and intermediate divers, not only to lovers of wreck diving.

The Red Sea is one of the most diverse and spectacular dive sites in the world. With warm, clear water, abundant coral reefs and abundant marine life, the Red Sea offers something for every diver. Whether you’re looking for colorful fish, majestic sharks or historic wrecks, you’ll find them all in the Red Sea. The northern part of the Red Sea is especially popular for its variety of diving spots, from shallow lagoons to deep walls and peaks. You can dive from the shore, from day boats or from a full board boat that will take you to the best snorkeling spots in the area. Here are some of the attractions of the Best Of North scuba diving Red Sea Dive Sites:

– SS Thistlegorm: This is the most famous wreck in the Red Sea and one of the best in the world. The SS Thistlegorm was a British cargo ship that was sunk by German bombers in 1941 while transporting supplies to the Allied forces in Egypt. The ship lies at a depth of 30 meters and is still laden with trucks, motorcycles, tanks, guns and other war equipment. You can explore the ship’s decks, cabins, holds and engine rooms and see how it has become home to many fish and corals. The SS Thistlegorm is best dived from a full board boat which will allow you to do some wreck dives and avoid the crowds.
– Shark and Yolanda Reefs: These are two adjacent reefs that form part of the Ras Mohammed National Park, a protected area that hosts some of the most pristine and diverse coral reefs in the Red Sea. Shark Reef is a vertical wall that drops to over 700 meters and is covered with soft corals,
gorgonians, sponges and sea anemones. You can see shoals of antias, fusiliers, butterfly fish and angelfish here. You may also spot larger fish such as napoleons, giant trevally and barracudas. Yolanda Reef is named after a Cypriot cargo ship that ran aground here in 1980 and dumped its cargo of toilets, tubs and You can see these strange items among the corals and fish basins
on the reef. and have some fun photo opportunities.

– Elphinstone Reef: This is a sunken reef that lies about 12 kilometers offshore near the resort of Marsa Alam. It has two plateaus at its northern and southern ends that attract many pelagic fish such as tuna, horse mackerel, barracuda and archer. The main attraction here, however, are the sharks. You can see the hammers, the whitefly.
